At the CAIS Heads and Chairs 2011 Conference, Chris Bart presented Effective Governance Practices and all attendees received his book. The Globe and Mail ranked his book in the Top Ten List for 2011.
The BC Government announced in the 2011 Speech from the Throne, that British Columbia will be changing its Education system and moving towards a more personalized learning model throughout the province for all its learners. The Ministry is reaching out to its citizens through the BC Education Plan Blog and is seeking the public's opinion on various questions related to teaching and learning.
Canadian schools have failed to embrace the internet and are falling behind in the number of online learning opportunities available to students, according a report released Monday.
The Board of Governors of Ridley College are pleased to announce the appointment of J. Edward Kidd as the new Headmaster, effective July 16, 2012. Ed is currently the Principal of the High School at Shanghai American School in Shanghai, China. Shanghai American School has a current enrolment of over 3,200 primarily expatriate students from over 40 countries and is China˙s largest and most established international school.
Since last May, over 3,000 Queen's University faculty, staff, and students have been trained on how to identify and help students in distress, and demand for this training continues to rise. At the same time, changes at the Student Counselling Service have reduced wait times for counselling and ensured students in crisis are seen as quickly as possible.
