Plant and Property Management

Course Overview: 

One key to the success of our independent schools is a first class facility. This module will introduce participants to strategic planning of new facilities, annual maintenance of existing plants, and ongoing management of plant, property, housekeeping and food services.

Learning Intentions:

1. Develop an understanding of the principles and best practices of plant and property management.
2. Explore the process of long term facility planning and capital project development.
3. Explore the partnerships among the Head of School, CFO, Facilities Manager, Food Services Manager and Housekeeping Manager, and the important relationships between the School (as a major property owner) and the community.
